With over 15 years and thousands of hours of logged teaching and tutoring hours, I have extensive experience working with all manner of students, and catering to their specific needs. While I primarily focus on math and sciences, I also help extensively with standardized testing including AP courses, along with the SAT, ACT, GRE, AFOQT, GED, MCAT, and more.

During both my undergraduate and graduate training, I held numerous tutoring and teaching positions, both with the schools and privately. Among them, I worked for a physics professor as a researcher and a lab teaching assistant from February 2008 to July 2009 and was a science tutor for the on-campus tutoring service from October 2007 to July 2009 where I tutored algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, calculus, biology, genetics, general/organic/biochemistry, physics I and II, and cell and molecular biology. I tutored disabled students through both my undergraduate university and through the Texas Department of Rehabilitative and Assistive Services, from January 2009 to July 2009. During my graduate and post-graduate work, I’ve continued working in tutoring, including receiving a Florida teacher certification and meeting online and in-person. Most importantly, I work to connect with the student(s) on a more personal level to make them feel comfortable, and constantly and consistently endeavor to help establish and achieve their personal goals.

  • I teach/tutor using the Socratic Method – facilitating the students to let them find the answers based on what they already know by asking questions to lead them in the right direction, rather than simply giving an answer
  • I mostly tutor upper-level students (high school and college), but I love working with children and have lots of experience in one-on-one tutoring and teaching elementary and middle-school aged children
  • I’m well-experienced with neurodiverse students, including working with those diagnosed with ADHD, Dyslexia, color blindness, ASD, injury recovery, and more
  • My students have achieved 5s on AP tests from being on the brink of dropping out, perfect scores on SAT subject tests, improved SAT test scores by hundreds of points, and earned positions in 90+ percentiles of scoring
